When Bienville Square gets Omega Busy

Earlier today the Rho Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity served food downtown in Bienville Square to continue with their achievement week festivities. This was the fraternity’s first time hosting an event like this but everyone was just as welcoming.

The members started up their grills, set out tables and chairs and served food to anyone who came by.

The community really enjoyed this event and the members said there will be more events like this one in the future.

Many of the members were happy with the success of the event and the opportunity to give back.

Chairman Charlie Jones said “This gives us an opportunity to give back to the community, it’s a blessing to be able to serve others so we give back every opportunity that we can.”

The plates were free and the event was open to anyone who walked through. Everyone was treated like family and offered anything that was cooked.

Basileus David Colley said “Our frat was founded on friendship, it is our civic duty to help in the community the best way we can. Our motto is friendship is essential to the soul.”
